My new obsession (Vanilla Leather, my iPod, is the devil) has me traipsing around the internet in search of mp3’s and some good music blogs. Today was spent over at Tiny Mix Tapes, Elasticheart, Delusions of Adequacy and a very cool mp3 listening project from the makers of the highly addictive I Love Music message board.
Phew!
Oh right, so I forgot to mention some things. First off, I got an iPod for my birthday. It is pretty damn sweet. While I will continue to rabidly buy CD’s for my new stereo (thanks Phil), it is nice to have something small to slip into my purse with a GAZILLION songs on it. The following week will be spent transferring my music collection over to Vanilla Leather.
The Apple Store was really quite frightening. For all of Apple being lauded for its design skills, I thought the flow through the store sucked. And the fact that there was a huge blob of people instead of three separate lines for the registers made no sense. And TOURISTS!!! Luckily, I managed to get in and out pretty quickly.
Speaking of songs and mp3’s, The Teeth have a website. Where you can download such gems as “SUVD” and “Cats are Tigers”. Hell, you can download their entire album. It will go on my damn iPod.
more photos. I really think that celebrating your birthday all month is the way to go. There is a ridiculous photo of me and more photo madness over at Phil’s site. I have about a hundred photos in total of the whole birthday shenanigans, but I’ll spare you all of them. Oh yeas, Jenny P. took the photos of Man in Gray at Piano’s.

Finally! A picture of the drummer!
Yesterday was my actual birthday and I have to say thanks to everyone who came out to the Piano’s show and who have been partying with me for the bulk of March. It’s been an incredible birthday and capping it off with the show was great. Good times.

Reflections!

The amazing Jess of El Jezel

Rockin out in style.
I wasn’t imagining the brilliant Lucky-Dip link. Turns out it’s just not working. I went back to The Morning News to double check his article and his site is just not working. Sorry.
My birthday is actually tomorrow, but as readers know, the festivities started last Saturday. Last night, Amanda organized a dinner for my birthday that involved a ton of people, great Italian food, many many bottles of wine, some tirimisu with a candle on top and then mojitos and caiparinhas. It was an awesome night made even better by the fact you could smoke and dance at this bar (to protect the innocent bar, I won’t be naming names). Took a ton of pictures, but was too busy to load them up. Boo. Pictures later and thanks to all my friends for the treat.
How to Look Cool at a Party is pretty awesome. Lucky-Dip is pretty awesome. I like it.
In a rather interesting move, Benton County in Portland, Oregan has decided to ban ALL marriage licenses. That’s right. No marriage licenses if your straight, gay, or want your dog. County officials decided that this measure would treat everyone equally. Maybe some people will see how ridiculous the whole debate is and start giving out marriage licenses to everyone. I doubt it, but it’s pretty bold step.
