Baaaack

The tour is over. The tour has been over since this past Saturday and I’ve been a little sad and very happy. Sad because I’m back at work and while it was annoying to be hauling ass for 6 hours in a car daily, it was still an adventure. I am really glad to eat vegetarian food though, sleep in my bed, sit on my couch and have some quality time with Phil and friends. Thanks to them, I had a lovely birthday evening on Monday and it feels good to be back.

Cheers to Greg for letting us stay with him in Chicago and allowing me to pass out on his bed. I’m sure I snored loudly.

Also, thanks to everyone who let us stay with them on the road (especially Phil’s aunt in St. Louis - most restful evenings throughout the tour) and for being such nice people. Man in Gray has some tour t-shirts and ep’s, so if you’re interested, lemme know and I’ll hook you up.

Combustication will be back to food related content next week. I’m still on birthday vacation.

Cajun Seasoning

In Lafayette, LA at Cafe Cottage, where we will be playing later tonight. So far the tour has been extremely awesome. The drive from Brooklyn to Bowling Green, KY was somewhat painful…about 14 hours? Maybe? I lost track, but we got there safe and sound and proceeded to ROCK Spencer’s. The people were awesome, big shout out to Greenhouse Poetry, Inc. and Bonnie and everyone who came to the show (especially the dancers) for the hopsitality, awesome setup and kickass houseparty.

Florence, AL was also great. Thanks to Misty for hooking us up and letting us party and sleep at her house. I highly recommend you all check out Western Civ as soon as possible, because they are amazing. It’s really beautiful out here - I wish I could write about driving around here more, but we’re heading out of the wi-fi area to check out downtown Lafayette.

Rock-n-roll. For more up-to-date stuff, check out Rui’s blog here.

Craftiness

I like the fact that I have some crafty fellows in my band. So crafty, that each of them made their own tour button and Jeremiah worked our awesome t-shirt design into our limited edition tour e.p. It’s kinda neat.

With the two wireless laptops and 6 cellphones between all band members (and one roadie), I will be very reachable, but Rui is still going to be blogging about the tour. You can visit his online tour blog right now. Not sure if I will be updating combustication, but you never know.
